Arabesque Leg Lifts
Think of making a T shape with your body.
Arabesque leg lifts. An arabesque is a position of the body that involves lifting one leg behind. Standing on one leg knee slightly bent slowly bring chest towards floor extending the opposite leg and keeping the back in a neutral position and the hips level. Then lift your chin both arms and both legs off the floor.

Normally arabesque is executed with the turned-out lines starting from the hip running down the leg to toe. Keeping chest tall lift the right leg as high as you can behind you and pulse. Shift weight forward and slide left leg forward.
Take 2 - Sit in the Air Variations On The Sit Lifts - 2. But you dont want your body to lean too far forward. You will find an arabesque that is choreographed turned in very rarely.
Begin on your stomach with your arms down by your side. In the arabesque position the woman supports her body on one leg while extending the other leg behind the body and keeping both knees straight. One of my favorite leg exercises.
